No, socialmarty, I have a reality-based worldview. I'm just offering my opinion and what I think is good advice which you can take or leave without fear of punishment, unlike Washer, who is saying, "Believe what I believe and be like me or else you burn in hell forever!" There's a huge difference.

because like you he maintains that what he believes is "reality based" and true, and neglecting the truth tends to have consequences. its true that if you crash into a tree@ 100mph w/o wearing a seat belt, you'll probably go thru the windshield. and hence, when the car of ur "life" crashes, and it will, u'll die, and ur not wearing the lord Jesus, u will perish, its just fact.

The difference, socialmarty, is that I don't base my views on a 2000 year old book of myths and religious writings, and then threaten people with eternal damnation if they don't do what I say. I'm just suggesting people live and be happy and not fearful, while he must back up his views with fear and threats. That should tell you something.

i think your missing it. whether you feel Christianity is debunked or not, you think your right, and so does he. and not only do you thing your right, you pursuade others to think as you do, and say that things like Christianity are wrong and you should abandon them...just as paul washer adversely states. the consequences of denying the truth are irrelevant, your inconsistent in what your saying.

There's no attempt to control you by telling you to think for yourself. Doing so may lead you to the bible and if that makes you happy - good for you. Just don't tell the rest of us to feel guilty for being born worthless individuals that are hated by God. and he offers his views, which he feels are true, and he's also smart enuff to realize there are things that exist outside of that which can be shown "empirically". Paul isn't threatening nebody that duzn't agree with him, He's giving the cause and effect of denying reality as he percieves it. If the bible is true, than wut paul is saying about ppl who die w/o Christ is empirically true.

Your doing what paul is doing, pursuading ppl to believe truth as you perceive it. Paul says there is a God, and tries to educate ppl on who God is and His will, you believe there is no god so do whatever you want, as long as it makes you happy. i dont fear your views at all, you believe that ur existence is accidental, you'll work hard, vainly pursue pleasure all ur life then die and become worm food...nuffin to fear there. Its not washers threats, its the word of God.

i keep seeing this trend of "if it makes u happy". see thats the big stumbling block of mankind, you figure this "god thing", is only for ur own pleasure, its not a matter of happiness, its a matter of truth. nobody said u were born worthless individuals h8d by God, plz save the exaggerated pity party. u dont have to believe u inherited sin for it to be true, proof of your sinfulness will be ur death, the soul that sins, it shall die. im interested tho,accordin to ur logic, how did man get here?
