not always true, my husbands family has bred pits for over 30 yrs and we started bout 5 yrs ago and my male and female both were the carmel and white and her last litter we got a solid white with a couple of black dots on her ears, she was the last, the runt, and dead when born, took bout 8 mins and we got to breath, we kept her.

yea we love the breed ourselves, at first i was very sceptical cuz i have children. but i have 3 females and with the hubby on the road, i feel safer then my gun. i have teenagers and they love them as well. i catch alot of crap from neighbors but darn my poodle has bit 5 times and my pits never, they dont give me crap about the poodle. but your right, they are our children too.
